I coach my athlete's mainly now on a online basis using email check ins with phone and text support. I specialise in female figure and bikini and also men's classic bodybuilding.

who am I?

I run the IBFA Yorkshire bodybuilding show and judge for the IBFA as well as running the MR & Miss Manchester competition

I have personally competed 13 times in Classic/Athletic Bodybuilding classes placing in top 3 regularly and 4th place at the IBFA British finals

Since 2002 I have spent over £30k on qualifications and learning here are some of the relevant courses

I trained with Dave for around a year, and can honestly say it was one of the best decisions I’ve made.

I spent quite a lot of time researching local personal trainers.- I really wanted to find one who trained clients to competitor level. Dave really stood out as he was one of the only personal trainers in the area who trained clients to this level - and was a fraction of the price of the larger transformation companies.

Daves attitude and enthusiasm really shines through. Unlike personal trainers in commercial gyms, personal training is more than just a job to him. He has an array of add on qualifications - I.e life coach, body fat measurements. He also organises & hosts his own comps.

I´ve been working with Dave for a few months now and I can say that he really knows how to make things work and get into shape. I decided to approach Dave because of his long time record in this industry because I wanted someone who really knows what to do, not like lots of "personal trainers" that we can find around. And my choice was the best.
Dave has a massive knowledge about nutrition and supplements, responds to my questions immediately, which I appreciate a lot. He´s checking my physique regularly and if needed, does the tweaks to my diet/training plan.
So far we managed to get placed at my first show which we didn´t plan to do before and now we continue with preparation for my scheduled show.
I definitely recommend Dave, he gained my trust since I can see the massive differences in my body which I was struggling with.

I started working with Dave back in January. Prepping and training with Dave has been unlike any other training I have ever received. Everything from my diet to my training plan is detailed and suited to my specific needs and his knowledge of supplements and nutrition is remarkable. I feel that not only am I in the best shape I have ever been but also I have learnt so much from him in the process that is invaluable. He is committed and incredibly motivating and always on hand to help whenever I have needed him. I hope now under his wing to compete later this year in Bikini and then next year work up to compete in toned figure and feel confident that with his help and guidance I can do it. I highly recommend working with Dave to achieve any fitness goal.

I used Dave to help me with my diet for my shows in 2015 where i competed in toned figure class. Dave was very detailed with his diet plans and explained everything to me when i struggled to understand certain things, the gym program design he gave me was also very detailed and hard work! I felt that i got in the best condition of my life and was happy when i placed well in my shows.

I would recommend Dave to anybody wanting to toned figure or similar events.

I have known Dave for many years and have trained with him on and throughout the period. First of all, Dave is a decent guy, very approachable and puts you immediately at ease.

His commitment to training is exceptional. He is his own best advert as he trains and completes himself at a very high level.

I cannot state highly enough the level of quality he brings to his work, from the resources and content he provides, to his unwavering levels of knowledge, support and guidance not to mention his ability to motivate. He has advised me extensively on all aspects of training including diet and supplements as well as using Biosignatures to monitor performance and progress.

He is a great guy and a great coach. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him.

Dave has been providing me with a detailed training and diet plan suitable for my own personal goals. He closely monitors my progress with weekly check ins and tweaks my plan accordingly. I managed to lose 2 stone in 14 weeks and dropped 7% body fat and achieved my 1st goal of getting through to the final of the Transformation challenge as this year’s BodyPower Expo. My next goal is to compete in toned figure category at the York Bodybuilding Show this October. Due to the fantastic results I got from having Dave as my coach I’m sticking with him though my prep. Anyone wanting to compete should definitely get in touch with him, I tried to do it on my own last year and failed. Decent experienced personal trainers and prep coaches are hard to come by are worth their weight in gold.

As a coach Dave has been professional and his advice and support is second to none
He has supported me through a good prep adapting and tweaking diet plan and training where required
I continue to use his support and knowledgable guidance through prep till November where I am sure great results will continue to be achieved

Dave prepped me for competing this year for the first time , he listened to my problems he tweaked my diet and monitored my bf on a monthly to weekly basis , he helped with my training plan and it all paid off , I competed firstly in toned but was more an athletic girl towards the end , I placed in 4 shows out of 5 taking the 1st ,2nd and 3rd spot and my first comp I placed 5th from 15 girls , I would highly reccomend Dave , I will be using him again in future comps

I've been prepped by Dave since May after I competed at a few shows and wasn't getting anywhere. After only 3 weeks with Dave I came second!!
Checks ins are once a week and plans are always being tweaked to find out what works best for me and not just a cut and paste plan.
Dave always listening to my opinions on what I've found works well with me and what doesn't and also about my food likes and dislikes etc. He makes sure I understand what I'm doing and why and even listens to my silly questions that I have haha
